4.2. Directors’ Training
TheDirectorscontinue toattend relevant trainingprogrammesandseminars tokeepabreast
with the various issues facing the changing business environment withinwhich theGroup
operates and further enhance their professionalism in discharging their fiduciary duties to
theCompany.
For the year ended 31 December 2013, the training programmes and seminars attended

During the financial year ended 31December 2013, theBoard of Directorswas briefed on

5. UPHOLD INTEGRITY INFINANCIALREPORTING
5.1. Compliancewithapplicablefinancial reportingstandards
The Board takes responsibility to present a balanced and meaningful assessment of the
Group’spositionandprospects in thevariousfinancial reportsand toensure that thefinancial
statements are draw up in accordance with the provisions of the Act and the applicable
accounting standards inMalaysia.
TheAudit Committee assists theBoard in scrutinising information for disclosure to ensure
accuracy, adequacy and completeness to give a true and fair view of the state of affairs
of the Group especially of the Group’s quarterly and audited financial statements before
recommending to theBoard for its approval.
5.2. Assessment of suitability and independenceof ExternalAuditors
The Audit Committee would review and monitor the suitability and independence of the
ExternalAuditors.TheAuditCommitteehas inplaceanassessmentof theExternalAuditors
andwouldassess themonanannual basisand report to theBoard its recommendation for
the reappointment of theExternal Auditors at the annual general meeting.
TheExternalAuditorshaveconfirmed that theywere,andhavebeen, independent throughout
theconductof theauditengagement inaccordancewith the termsofall relevantprofessional
and regulatory requirements.
